　ボンベイ警察犯罪捜査課警部で、幼い頃から警察官を目指していたといいます。

　真面目な性格で、仕事を任されても喜びより不安に感じるタイプですが、インド特有の階級制度や人種問題の困難に立ち向いながらもひたすら任務を忠実にこなしていきます。
